Your wedding should
sound like you
What is a celebrant led wedding?
A celebrant wedding is a ceremony built entirely around you.
Unlike traditional ceremonies, there are no standard scripts to follow, no set wording you have to use, and no expectation that your ceremony should look like anybody else's. Instead, everything begins with your story: how you met, what you've been through together, the people who matter most, and the life you're building as a couple.
Every ceremony I create is written from scratch. There are no templates hidden in a drawer and no generic speeches with your names swapped in. I take the time to get to know you, understand what makes your relationship unique, and create a ceremony that feels honest, personal, and unmistakably yours.
One of the biggest advantages of a celebrant wedding is the freedom it gives you.
Want to exchange private vows? Include your children? Invite your best friend to tell a story? Incorporate cultural traditions, handfasting, ring warming, music, poetry, laughter, tears, or even your dog walking down the aisle?
You can.
There are no rules about what your ceremony should be. Traditional, modern, romantic, playful, heartfelt, completely unconventional — the choice is yours.
My role is simply to guide the process, help shape your ideas, and create a ceremony that reflects who you are, so that when your loved ones leave, they're not talking about a wedding ceremony. They're talking about your wedding ceremony.
Because the best ceremonies don't feel like a performance.
They feel like you.
the process
Step one:
discovery call
You get to decide if I am the right person for you.
This is usually a 30 minute call where I find out all about you and you can ask any questions you might have.
step two:
initial meeting
You’ve decided I’m the celebrant for you, so now we get to discuss the DETAILS!
We can do this bit online or, preferably in person, with prosecco.
strep three:
I write the ceremony
I go into my cave (office) and write the most gorgeous, personalised and incredible ceremony.
Then re-write it another THREE times, until you are happy and it is PERFECT!
strep four:
practice makes perfect
At least once before the ceremony, we will meet (with prosecco) to discuss the finer details of who goes where, who says what and who is who - this bit includes the whole party = more prosecco.
strep five:
The big day
You look stunning.
I do the ceremony.
Everybody laughs, everybody cries and we have the best time.
